On Friday (09), coach Tite held another call for the Brazilian National Team. With another batch of friendlies approaching, the Brazilian clubs with athletes called, will suffer with absences. However, the president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Ednaldo Rodrigues, stated that from 2023 on, the national soccer calendar will respect the FIFA Dates.
The information was first reported by the newspaper O Globo. CBF’s idea is to prevent Brazilian clubs from losing important players to national team squads. The calendar for next season, that is, for 2023, will be published by CBF at the end of September.

Also according to the portal, the calendar depends only on the date of the Club World Cup, already scheduled for 2023. It is worth remembering that CBF had promised this measure previously, on other occasions, but the pandemic ended up changing the entity’s plans.
As the World Cup in Qatar will end in December 2022, next year, the pre-season period for Brazilian clubs will be normalized. The challenge, it should be noted, will be to maintain the same measure for the following years, as in 2024. The solution, perhaps, is to shorten the state championships.
